01. Do you photograph destination weddings across Portugal?
Yes. I photograph weddings in Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Comporta, the Alentejo, the Algarve, Porto, and the Douro Valley, as well as selected celebrations elsewhere in Europe. Many of my couples are planning from abroad, so I make the process clear and simple from the first call onward.
02. How would you describe your photography style?
My approach is documentary at heart, with an editorial eye. I want your photographs to feel natural, beautiful, and emotionally true. I will gently direct when needed, especially during portraits, but I never want the day to feel staged or over-controlled.
03. Do you help with the planning of the day?
Yes. I help my couples with their timeline so the day flows beautifully and never feels rushed, but we also plan the visual side of the wedding together. I love seeing your inspirations, what you’ll be wearing, the design of the day, and the overall atmosphere you want to create. All of that helps me photograph your wedding in a way that feels personal and intentional.
04. We’re planning from another country. Can we work together remotely?
Absolutely. Many of my couples plan their wedding in Portugal from abroad. We can do everything remotely, including discovery calls, planning conversations, questionnaires, contracts, and payments.
05. Do you offer photo and video coverage?
Yes. I work with a videographer whose approach complements mine beautifully, and I offer a package for couples who would like both photography and video coverage for their wedding day.
06. Can we add film photography to our wedding day?
Yes. Couples can add film photography to their coverage if they love the softness, texture, and timeless feel that film brings. It’s a beautiful option for those who want an extra layer of depth and nostalgia in their gallery.
07. Do you include drone photography?
Yes. I also photograph with drones when the location, weather, and local regulations allow it. Drone images can add a beautiful sense of place and scale, especially at stunning venues and coastal or countryside locations in Portugal.
08. Do you photograph multi-day weddings and welcome parties?
Yes. I photograph multi-day celebrations as well, including welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, pool parties, brunches, and other events surrounding the wedding day. These moments often add so much to the full story of a destination wedding weekend.
09. Do you travel, and are travel fees included?
I travel throughout Portugal and for selected weddings elsewhere in Europe. For weddings outside Lisbon, travel and accommodation are quoted clearly in advance so everything is transparent from the beginning.
10. Do you offer full-day coverage?
Yes. Most couples choose coverage that tells the full story of the day, from the anticipation in the morning through the atmosphere of the evening. If you’re planning a larger celebration across several days, I can prepare a custom proposal for that as well.
11. Do you work alone or with a second photographer?
This depends on the size and structure of the wedding. Some celebrations are best covered by me alone, while others benefit from a second photographer, especially if logistics are spread across multiple locations or if the guest count is larger. I’ll recommend what makes the most sense for your day.
12. How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, so I prefer not to promise a fixed number. What I can promise is a carefully edited gallery that tells the story of your celebration fully and beautifully, without unnecessary repetition.
13. Do you deliver every image you take?
No. I curate every gallery carefully. You receive the strongest images: the ones that are meaningful, flattering, emotionally resonant, and consistent with the final story of the day.
14. How long does it take to receive the gallery?
You will receive a fully edited online gallery within 90 working days. I also send a preview within 48 hour so you have a first glimpse of the day shortly after the wedding.
15. Do you also photograph elopements, engagement sessions, or couples sessions in Portugal?
Yes. I photograph engagement sessions, elopements, and couples sessions in Lisbon and other beautiful locations across Portugal. These sessions are ideal if you want relaxed photographs in Portugal before or after the wedding day.
16. How do we book you?
Start by getting in touch with your date, venue, and a few details about your celebration. If I’m available, we’ll schedule a call, talk through your plans, and I’ll prepare a proposal. Your date is officially reserved once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid.

A Few Tips for a Wedding Day That Photographs Beautifully in Portugal
01. Plan your ceremony around the light
Portugal has extraordinary light, but timing still matters. If your ceremony is too late, the day can start to feel rushed. If it is too early in the peak of summer, the sun can be harsh. A balanced timeline gives you better light, more calm, and more space to actually enjoy the day.
02. Consider paper umbrellas for summer weddings
Summers in Portugal can be very hot and intense, especially during outdoor ceremonies and portraits. Paper umbrellas are a beautiful option because they provide shade, help guests feel more comfortable, and also look lovely in photographs.
03. Leave margin in the schedule
The most beautiful wedding days never feel rushed. Build buffer time into the timeline for getting dressed, transportation, family photos, and transitions between locations. That extra space protects the mood of the day.
04. Think about doing a first look
A first look can be a wonderful option for couples who would prefer to exchange their vows in private before the ceremony. It also creates another opportunity for portraits and allows more family photos to happen earlier in the day, which can make the rest of the timeline feel more relaxed.
05. Keep ceremony aisles and key moments free of phones
An unplugged ceremony makes your photographs cleaner, more timeless, and far more emotional. It also allows your guests to be fully present.
06. Suggest an extra shirt for the groom in summer
During the warmer months in Portugal, I always like to suggest that the groom brings an extra shirt to change into later in the day. Very often the shirt becomes too damp under the tuxedo or jacket, and a fresh shirt makes a real difference in both comfort and photographs.
